Covid-19 has affected our ability to travel and present at international seminars this year. This lack of opportunity to network could disadvantage junior astronomers when entering the job market. ASTRO-3D is happy to announce the ECR Astronomers in Australia Seminar Series, a new series of conference-style talks that allows students and early career researchers (ECRs) to communicate their results to an international audience of astronomers.
Organised by the ASTRO-3D International Seminars Committee, the ECR Astronomers in Australia Seminar Series will consist of short, 20-minute talks by students and ECRs, highlighting an interesting aspect of their work. Seminars will take place weekly via Zoom from March-June 2021 over two time slots: one catering to a European/African audience and one for North and South American audiences. Talks will be uploaded to the ASTRO-3D YouTube channel and made publicly available.
