Biography
I am a computational astrophysicist working at ANU as a post doctoral fellow. I have used 3D HD and MHD simulations to understand multi-wavelength features of galactic outflows. My work focuses on HD and MHD simulations of MilkyWay-mass galaxies. Supernovae explosions occurring in the disk of such galaxies drive galactic outflows. These outflows are multiphase in nature and interact with the circumgalactic medium surrounding the host galaxy. To study the multi-wavelength features of these outflows, I produced mock observations. I compared the predictions from my simulations with radio observations and proposed fitting models for the high energy band. As a part of Astro3D, I would like to contribute to the development of simulations that replicate the physical processes involved in galaxy evolution. Given my experience with mock observations, I would like to devote my time to developing tools for producing realistic observations from simulation data.
