Biography

I have coordinated outreach at Mount Stromlo Observatory since December 2017. In that time I have worked closely with ASTRO 3D education and outreach staff, as well as students and academic staff who are part of ASTRO 3D as part of outreach activities at Stromlo. I have coordinated the Mount Stromlo school visit program which in 2019 reached 2500 students from across Australia. I also coordinate the public astronomy nights program amongst which regularly has over 1000 attendees. Both of these programs successfully moved to a virtual platform this year due to COVID-19 restrictions and we have maintained strong engagement with our audience and also increased to new audiences from across Australia. I have also assisted with the Mount Stromlo Work Experience program aimed at students in years 10-12 and identified areas for improvement to better engage with audiences from underrepresented backgrounds.
