Biography

As co-Chief Operating Officer and Senior Education and Outreach Coordinator, Delese is responsible for overseeing our ambitious Education and Outreach programs, including Scientists Taking Astronomy to Regional Schools (STARS) program, developing our Virtual Reality modules, Indigenous Work Experience program and developing teacher resources for the classroom. Delese is an experienced educator - as a classroom teacher and also an education project manager - leading and delivering science education resources ad professional learning for Australian school science educators. Delese is driven by a desire to ensure science educators and students achieve positive teaching and learning outcomes through the delivery of authentic and relevant science content and context. Delese is now also the Co-Chief Operating Officer of ASTRO 3D. Delese’s qualifications include a teaching degree, a Bachelor of Arts degree and a PhD in Near Eastern Archaeology.
