Biography

Astrophysicist-come-data scientist with a keen eye for detail and a passion for software development. For the last 8 years, I’ve worked as an astronomer, where I’ve used some of the world’s biggest telescopes to understand the gas conditions in distant galaxies 🔭🌌 However, I’ve decided that it’s time to hang up the eye-piece and look for new challenges in other areas. I’m particularly interested in opportunities where I can combine my skills in data analysis and software engineering to do good in the world! #opentowork My skills and experience extend far beyond looking through telescopes: as an astronomer, I have developed a broad range of skills for tackling just about any problem thrown at me: 👨‍💻 I'm an expert when it comes to data science, and have lots of experience collecting, cleaning and analysing data from a variety of sources. I know how to extract meaning from data using statistical techniques, and I’m particularly good at understanding the limitations and biases that may exist in any data set.
