Biography

Originally from England, I've been in Australia since 2013. I obtained my PhD from University of Melbourne in 2017, and have since moved across to WA to work at Curtin University. During this time I've become a radio astronomer and an avid lover of interferometers. I work within the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) Epoch of Reionisation (EoR) group, who are trying to detect signals from the very first stars and galaxies to exist. My speciality is simulating the response of the MWA and other interferometric telescopes, to test our ablities to process the terabytes of data we have collected over the years. In recent years I've begun using GPU-power in my simulations (no bitcoin mining involved).
