Biography

I lead research in four main areas: (1) Reionisation via our space- and ground-based selection and detection of Lyman continuum ionising radiation from galaxies at z ~ 3-4, (2) Supernovae detections and study at high redshift (z ~ 2-6) and to z ~ 20 with upcoming facilities, (3) uncovering the proto-galactic nature of damped Lyman-alpha absorption-line systems at z ~ 2-6, and (4) detecting the fastest bursts in the Universe in real time by coordinating over 80 telescopes on all continents and in space at all-wavelengths (radio through gamma-ray) and particle detectors.
