Biography

I am a currently a process engineer at Intel corporation. In my previous role as a researcher at NASA Goddard, I led projects to understand the properties of early galaxies in the universe using detailed and robust modelling of mass distribution of gravitational lenses. I have also been involved in software development (written in C) which has helped me develop a sound understanding of basic statistical concepts and optimization algorithms. I am part of a collaborative work environment with experts from across the globe in both theory and observations. I have developed my own routines for processing telescopic data using IDL, Python. I have also a science communicator and have actively been engaged in both scientific and non-scientific public talks. I enjoy statistical modelling of complex data sets and therefore would like to continue doing so as a part my post-PhD career. I have successfully completed an introductory Machine learning course on Udacity.
