Biography

I started having an interest in Astronomy when I was 8, after attending a stargazing session at the Singapore Science Centre. Currently, I'm a PhD student at the RSAA working with Profs Ken Freeman, Gary Da Costa as well as Drs Dougal Mackey and Thomas Nordlander on an observational project studying the chemistry of the Magellanic Clouds. Specifically, I am trying to understand more about the inhomogeneities of stars in the globular clusters and also search for extremely metal-poor stars in the Magellanic field. During my free time, I am involved in facilitating stargazing activities for the public at Mt Stromlo, as it gives me great satisfaction to be able to tell and show others the beauty of the night sky, and ignite their curiosity.
