Biography
My research focus on the early universe, namely the epoch of reionisation and cosmic dawn. These correspond to the Universe’s transition from being completely neutral to its present ionised state and the formation of the first stars and galaxies. Primarily, I perform large numbers of simulations in an attempt to statistically understand the astrophysical process which drive these cosmic milestones. I explore numerous methods to characterise the observational signature from the early universe in order to maximise the scientific impact of existing and future experiments. Additionally, I perform statistical reconstructions of high redshift quasars in order to infer the ionisation state of the Universe during the epoch of reionisation.
