Biography

Emma was the node leader at Swinburne, and took on the role of director in 2023. She has active interests in the Galaxy Evolution and First Galaxies Projects. She is particularly interested in how Lyman-continuum photons escape from star-forming regions and into the intergalactic medium, and how metals escape galaxies, especially in the early Universe. In ASTRO3D she hopes to explore the connection between these two questions to ultimately answer: how was the Universe Reionized?
