Biography
Astrophysicist. My research focuses on the origins of the elements, supernovae, and dark matter. I have published 90 refereed papers, which have garnered 6,100 citations. I am the principal investigator for the construction of two separate spectrographs at international observatories, representing investments of $10 million. I have personally raised $4.5 million in private and federal grants. I am also a gifted educator. I have won university and national awards for both my research and teaching, including an NSF CAREER grant, the Newton Lacy Pierce Prize from the American Astronomical Society, and a Cottrell Scholarship from the Research Corporation for Science Advancement.Astrophysicist.
