Biography

My research interests are in extragalactic astronomy, specifically galaxies in galaxy clusters that are affected by their environment. I have completed a Master's degree on disentangling the effects of ram pressure stripping on galaxies using integral-field unit spectroscopy. I am now working towards my PhD in the same field. I am currently working as a lab demonstrator for 3rd year undergraduate astronomy classes as well as 1st year undergraduate physics classes. This involves helping students to understand and interpret their findings, determining how that relates to physical phenomena. I am also a current Supervisor at the Macquarie University Observatory where I facilitate educational sessions for a wide variety of people. I am a current member of the Astronomical Society of Australia and the ARC Centre of Excellence for All Sky Astrophysics in 3 Dimensions (ASTRO 3D).
