Biography
I am an Emeritus Professor of Astronomy at the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the Australian National University, and currently lead the 'First Stars' research program within ASTRO-3D. My research interests include using photometry from the ANU SkyMapper telescope together with low-resolution spectroscopy with the ANU 2.3m telescope to search for the lowest metallicity stars in our Milky Way galaxy. My other research interests include the stellar populations of dwarf galaxies, the origin of abundance anomalies in globular cluster stars, the Magellanic Clouds, and the formation of the halo of the Milky Way.
