Biography
I use chemical and kinematical properties of stellar populations constituting different Milky Way components to understand how the Milky Way formed and evolved. I use data from large scale spectroscopic surveys for this. I am also interested in the inner Milky Way, which is largely unexplored owing to high extinction caused by dust along the line of sight. I use low as well as high resolution near infrared spectra of stellar populations in the inner Milky Way to explore this region.
