Biography
Jennifer is at ICRAR/UWA as a PhD student and is working with cold gas observations currently available as part of the xGASS/xCOLD GASS surveys. The aim of her PhD is to provide key insights into how baryons acquire and retain their angular momentum (AM) and establish whether AM regulates the cold gas reservoir of galaxies. While theory predicts AM is a key regulator of the star formation cycle, observational support for this is still missing, as sufficiently large samples of galaxies for which estimates of both AM and cold gas reservoirs are lacking.
