Biography

Kirsten is part of the ASTRO 3D Education and Outreach team and is based in Western Australia as part of ICRAR. She is coordinating one of ASTRO 3D's educational programs aimed to increase participation in STEM in under represented demographics, including students who would be first in family to study at a tertiary level, low socio-economic areas and also women, by offering a STEM investigation using remote internet telescopes to secondary students. Her background is in Astronomy and Science Communication, and she has over a decade’s experience as a science communicator and educator.
