Biography

I am currently a professor at the Institute of Astrophysics (Faculty of Physics, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile). I work with numerical simulation of galaxy formation. Since 2001 I have been studying chemo-dynamical patterns and relations in galaxies of different morphologies and their evolution with redshift. I am interested in the role of mergers, galaxy interactions, gas inflows and angular momentum transfer at different stages of galaxy evolution, and their impact on the chemo-dynamical relations of baryons.
